Our plans for the Summer
For many people, the MEC has served as a second home and an extended family; we have had the privilege of teaching, nurturing, and conducting nikāh while watching our community flourish. We are excited to continue this growth alongside them.
This Summer, we plan to renovate the Centre, including installing a new mihrab and masjid lighting, updating carpets and adding a modern wudhu area and toilets. Be part of the renovation project and build your own palace in the akhirah.

Renovation cost & fundraising target
177k Target
The cost for the renovation project has been estimated at around £177k. It is important to note that this is subject to change, and the exact costs can only be determined closer to the time of the renovation. The Centre is still conducting discussions and in the process of getting quotations from various companies, to ensure that funds are used wisely and responsibly. Our community has been the backbone of our Centre, and we want to ensure that we all benefit from the renovations. We believe that this a necessary investment in the future of our community and will benefit generations to come.
Our beloved Prophet ﷺ said:
When you see a person taking care of the Masjid then bear testimony to his Īmān, for verily Allah ﷻ says, “Only those who believe in Allah and the Last Day frequent and take care of the Masjids of Allah.”
